— How are imotion signs produced?

imotion digital signs are manufactured in Slovenia, EU, in an ISO 9001-certified production facility. Each totem goes through ten stages, which are described below.

Production Facility

01

Quality Crafted in the EU

Our ISO 9001 certified R&D and production facilities span over 2,000 sqm in Slovenia, EU. Certification is demonstrating our commitment to the highest standards of quality.

02

Conceptualization

We conceptualize product solutions based on internal ideas or customer design requests, considering factors like thermal management, airflow and usability.

03

Drawing and machinery programming

Each machinery needs to be programmed every time a new housing is being produced for the first time. In order to optimize production time for further pieces of the same model, it is important to be very precise during programming of each machine by inserting into the programme all relevant info (cutouts, edges, etc…)

04

Steel sheets material storage

Upon arrival, materials undergo visual inspection. If they meet specifications, steel sheets are stored in an automated vertical sheet metal storage lift. When needed, specific steel sheets are automatically retrieved from the storage lift and transferred to the metal processing machine as per the predetermined production process

05

CNC metal laser cutting

Prior to start with laser cutting process in accordance with each work order:

  • Steel metal sheets need to be delivered to the CNC workstation

  • Each metal part that requires cutting needs its own CAD drawing, which must be programmed into the CNC workstation.

Metal bending process

06

Metal bending

Some imotion housing metal parts require bending for optimal electronics protection. We use three specialized TruBend machines, each tailored to specific element sizes.

Welding of outdoor digital sign

07

Welding

In the welding process, parts are fused into a complete housing according to the technical plan. Welded housings are required to be perfectly finished without any scratches, bumps and other imperfections since the surface of the housings will be treated directly with powder coating color without any additional brushing or applying paint primers

Metal housings lacquering

We use powder coating for standard product lacquering. This involves applying two layers of charged powdered color onto the housing's surface. This achieves electrostatic compatibility and durability. The color is baked onto the surface at around 200°C.

09

Components integration

Upon receiving lacquered housings, we inspect for imperfections. If approved, the final assembly begins. This involves:

  • Assembling the complete housing with door elements.

  • Adding thermal insulation.

  • Integrating electronic components.

  • Conducting final testing.

  • Packaging.

Dispatch

After completing final assembly, testing, and quality checks, our products are prepared for dispatch. This includes thorough inspections to uphold our standards and ensure excellence. We take pride in delivering products that reflect our commitment to quality and precision. Explore our deployment gallery built over 20 years of existence.
