Town Trogir is not famous only for its Venetian architecture or as a place of recording Game of Thrones but also for its plan to become a smart city. One of the steps to fulfill this plan was installation of first modern telephone booth.

Modern telephone booth is a substantial upgrade of old/obsolete booth. Its functionalities are much more than just a simple telephone calls. With 75” advertising screen, 18,5” interactive screen and numerous of addons such as WI-FI hotspot, USB and Wireless chargers, possibilities of usage really just depends on user creativity. Other advantage of digital telephone booths is advertising model, which allows municipalities to finance investment with advertising.

Bottom line, there is a lot of alternatives how to use locations of existing payphones. Multi-functional digital replacements will be part of our tomorrow and city Trogir is on a great path to become realization of still mainly theorized smart city concept.
