Interactive Digital Signs Transform Visitor Experience in Scenic Village

 Brief

Crna na Koroškem has installed two digital tourist information points to boost tourism. These signs promote local businesses and attractions while providing key community information.

Situation analysis

Crna na Koroškem is a scenic village in the Upper Meža Valley, known for its natural parks, caves, and one of the longest zip lines in Europe. While it attracts many tourists, local officials realized that communication with visitors was limited, partly due to the short hours of the tourist information center.

Solution

To improve communication and enhance the visitor experience, two digital tourist information points were installed. These signs promote local businesses, attractions, and provide important community updates. The municipality chose imotion FLOW displays for their reliability and ease of maintenance. A key factor was the intelligence of the devices. Officials were concerned about ongoing maintenance and post-installation costs. With built-in intelligence, the imotion FLOW totems address these concerns by being self-diagnostic and alerting administrators when an on-site visit is needed, eliminating the need for regular maintenance.

Now, visitors can use the outdoor displays to plan their day and access information like:

  • Event calendars and key attractions

  • Current weather forecasts

  • Open/closed hiking trails

  • Operating hours of local businesses

  • Special event wayfinding

  • General village information
