Enhancing Community Engagement through Outdoor Digital Signage in Kematen, Austria

In this short case study, we explore the recent installation of digital info point, representing another puzzle piece in the digitalization efforts of Austrian municipalities. The purpose of installed outdoor digital sign is first and foremost to enhance community engagement. This is achieved by providing municipality news, promoting local events and attractions.

Situation Analysis

Kematen in Tirol is a municipality located 12km west of Innsbruck. It’s a small community that is always looking forward, to new opportunities and technologies. Kematen wanted a modern and efficient way to communicate with residents and visitors, that will ensure they are informed about important updates and local happenings. With traditional communication methods becoming less effective, digital info totem presented a valuable solution.

Solution

The municipality chose outdoor digital signage based on imotion FLOW thermal management technology. The municipality of Kematen Tirol in Austria recently installed imotion FLOW 46” Portrait with UHB screen, IP56 protection and multipoint touchscreen as a digital info point to keep its residents informed about local news, events, and attractions. The unit was strategically placed near the entrance of the municipal office to provide easy access to information.
