How We Determine Limits of imotion Products

At the world's largest exhibition for AV, ISE2019, we showcased the 7th generation HVAC-based system called imotion G7. This system was the main attraction of our booth, not only due to its design but especially because of its specifications. It can be deployed in the toughest environments and still deliver the best visual performance, highest operational reliability, and the longest useful lifetime on the market. The most frequently asked question was about the imotion G7 operating temperature, which ranges from -40°C to +55°C. These numbers are not arbitrary; throughout development, we consistently tested the limits of our units. To obtain objective results, we couldn't simply place our unit outside. This method faced two problems: the Slovenian climate is not extreme enough to test the working limits of imotion G7, and the environment could not be fully regulated. Proper tests were conducted using an environmental test chamber where we could regulate all factors. The sun was simulated with a 2kW/m2 reflector (solar irradiance is 1kW/m2). Using this method, we conducted an experiment to objectively determine the limits of operation.
